Design and Display
This budget-friendly Windows-based Notebook is designed for mobile use, looking at its weight of just 1.6 kilograms and its slim 17.8 millimeters. The chassis of the HP Stream 14 is made of both plastic and aluminum.
The HP Stream 14 notebook is fitted with a chiclet keyboard. The 14-inch display is a simple TN panel with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The glossy screen has 16:9 aspect ratio.
Additional Details
An eMMC chip is used for the internal storage of the HP Stream 14 as part of cost-cutting measures. The internal storage has a capacity of only 32GB – of which 12GB is used for Windows installation and around 10GB reserved for recovery partition.
Extra space can be added using a microSD.
HP Stream 14 is provided with a 32Wh Li-Ion battery that can give more than five hours of use, based on tests carried out on it. Stereo speakers can be found on the underside of the notebook.
The computer comes with HD webcam as well as interfaces such as three USB ports (2.0 and 3.0), HDMI and card reader. For networking, Bluetooth 4.0 and wireless capability are guaranteed.
